I Want to Remember Who I Am

To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.
— Ralph Waldo Emerson

A Ritual Return to Self · Identity · Power · Soul · Truth

Mantras to Remember Yourself With:

I was someone before they told me who to be.

I am not what I do. I am what I carry.

My presence is a frequency, not a performance.

Even if no one claps, my magic is real.

I do not have to earn my place. I already belong.

There is ancient intelligence inside my body.

I’m allowed to change. I’m allowed to return.

Some parts of me were never lost — just waiting.

I am not broken. I am blooming differently.

Soul Prompts to Reclaim Your Inner Flame

What have I been praised for that never felt like the real me?

When was the last time I felt fully alive, untamed, and unfiltered?

If I stripped away the roles I play for others, who is left?

What truths did I know as a child that I’ve now buried?

What do I miss most about myself? Why did I dim that part?

RITUAL 1 – The Mirror of Witnessing

A self-reflection ritual to meet your own eyes again.

Find a quiet space and light a candle.

Sit in front of a mirror. Soften your gaze.

Say your name out loud. Then say:

  • “I see you.”

  • “You have always been here.”

  • “You are still mine.”

Hold your gaze and breathe. Watch what surfaces. Cry if needed. Smile if it comes.

Write a letter to your reflection. Let it be raw, tender, powerful.

You can repeat this anytime you feel invisible to others, or to yourself.

RITUAL 2 – The Remembering Altar

A sacred space to hold your essence outside of performance or productivity.

Create a mini altar somewhere meaningful to you. It can be a shelf, a corner, a box, or a windowsill. Add:

  • A photo of your younger self

  • A piece of jewelry, bone, leaf, or stone that reminds you of your roots

  • A word or phrase that feels like truth

  • A candle or small light

  • A symbol of your inner artist or rebel

  • Something that smells like home

Visit your altar whenever you forget and speak aloud: “I am still here.”
